This was the year of the Stellar Jay, and countless Northern Flickers, all vying for the suet.  The Chickadees are small, fidgety, and amusing to watch.  I mustn&#8217;t forget the Nuthatches, fast as arrows, and amazing acrobats.  This year we had Fox Sparrows and I managed to catch a Female Downy with my camera.   Fox Sparrows are seldom seen at bird feeders, but I don&#8217;t doubt that the weather and heavy snow contributed to their staying around.  I never get bored while watching them. Did I forget to mention our resident Red Squirrel?  I did a painting of him this year.
