With the growing heat during the summer months, many of the flowers struggle to survive. Our roses have disappeared, no doubt eaten by our deer friends. Lilies abound everywhere, and we have allowed the wildflowers to flourish as they do not need as much attention as the planted ones.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Unfortunately our apricot trees did not bear any fruit this year, apparently the Shuswap\u2019s Winter and Spring attributing to this fact. Our cherries were eaten by the birds, so I am now diligently guarding my peach tree. Soon I will be able to pick them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Butch is very protective of his flowers, and his hard work always pays off, as they enhance our landscape and provide colour to our surroundings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

FLOWERS<\/h1>\n

These are a few of the flowers Butch grows in his garden, planters, and flowers beds around the porch.  He has a passion for them.  He also grows a variety of vegetables in our gardens, and we have fruit trees lining the roadway to the garage.<\/h4>\n

This photo I took in Vernon, the hills were covered in soft violet flowers.  Although they are beautiful, they are an extremely evasive plant, and now most of them are gone.<\/h4>\n
