We drive to Vernon often, and one day I spotted from the highway the outline of an old house in Armstrong, a place known for its preservation of historical homes and buildings. I vowed I would get a closer look at it.
I finally convinced my tolerant husband to stop at Armstrong, and see if we could find this gem. We did, and it was all I have envisioned and more. Imagine the history connected to this home, the people who lived in it over the years, and even in its abandonment, still commands a regal bearing.
One day I plan on painting it.
