I have been doing photography since I was a young teenager, watching and learning from my father who also had a passion for it. Many of my pictures of are birds and animals, and I am adding a few that you might enjoy.
ANIMALS
Often we have visitors at our lot and if I am lucky I’ll get a good picture of them before they disappear into the trees.
Young bear, in late spring, molting his fur. This shot was taken on a back-road near Armstrong, BC. He ran in front of our car and we just missed hitting him.
A few years back, we noticed a doe protecting her young, who got tangled in the deer fence surrounding our garden. My husband Butch returned the little guy to his concerned mother. Alas they never learn. This year another young fawn attempted to get to my strawberries and had to be rescued by Butch. The mother stood stoically by while her young baby was saved. Her second fawn, twin to the rascal in our garden, was hidden in the trees. We do enjoy the antics of the deer, they are gentle, beautiful and keep our lives interesting.
Young black bear passing through our lot
Coyote also passing through on lot, not worried he is being watched.
Wild rabbit, cute but hard to keep out of our gardens.
